Show Ss a TV programme Our Amazing World . 2.

Ask Ss a question: What do you think of our world? (amazing) 3.

Ask Ss to say say some more amazing things they know. Step 2: Pre-writing 1.

Show Ss an introduction to TV and ask them to draw a conclusion. Meanwhile, teach some new words in this part. (by, in use, per, as..as, inch)

Ask Ss to change the notes into sentences. Teach them what makes a sentence.( Subject+verb—sentence) Work out the first tip for writing: Make full sentences.

Show Ss another TV programme and ask them to gues what it is about. (sandwich,sandwiches) 4.

Ask Ss to take some notes while watching th programme. (Montagu, Earl, all over the world) 5.

Ask Ss to change the notes into sentences and then make them an article. Work out the second tip for writing: Use proper conjunctions.

Show Ss Simon’s writng and ask them if it is good enough? (No.)

Ask Ss to read the article together.

Work out the third tip for writing: Add introduction and conclusion.

Ask Ss to add an introduction and a conclusion to the article about TV and make it better. 9.

Ask Ss to read together and find out the ponctuation mistake in the sample writing. Work out the fourth tip for writing: Use correct punctuations.

Step 3: While-writing 1.

Ask Ss to review the four tips for writing. 2.

Show them the third TV programme the Four New Great Inventions in China

Ask Ss to work in groups of four and discuss the one they like best and tell the reason. 4.

Show the notes about the inventions to Ss and ask them to write an article about the one they like best. Step 4: Post-writing 1.

Show some works of the Ss’ and teach them how to evaluate their work.

Work out the fifth tip for writing: Better your handwriting. 2.

Ask them to work in groups and evaluate their work. Homework: 1. Finish your work and evaluate（评价）
