The content of this lesson is《

Fun With English 》Book 2 beginning with Grade 3 Unit 9，the first period. In this lesson, it mainly deals with the patterns “ I like…. I don’t like….” and the fruits “apple, watermelon, peach, pear”. Let students learning English by introducing the fruits they like and dislike. The content is closely related to our life. Ss accept easily. The text and the words belong to the same topic, so teacher present the new words in the situation fluently. The lesson accords with students’ age and mental profile. So teacher can grasp the teaching material easily. 【Designing Philosophy】

Base on the teaching materials and the students’ characteristics, make them try to speak English with integrated sentences. I design my introduction about the colors, animals and fruits which I like and dislike. And then let students introduce themselves one step by one step. And in order to push the real situation forward, let Ss feel that it’s closely related to our life. So students can describe their feelings about fruits they like or dislike. I input a great amount of language during presentation. It’s helpful for students to communicate each other and develop students’ abilities of using language. In the end of the class, students finally output plenty of language. At last students can learning English by doing sth. 【Teaching aims】

1. To enable the Ss to listen, speak and read the new words “apple(s), watermelon, peach(es), pear(s)” by describing the fruit they like or dislike.

2. To enable the Ss to understand and speak the pattern “I like … I don’t like”. Make sure that Ss can use these sentences in real situations. 3. To develop Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking in kinds of activities. 4. To train the Ss’ ability of working in groups by having a race. 5. To encourage students have more fruit and vegetables.
