知识目标：

1、全体学生能够理解并运用词汇

village. 2、全体学生能运用句型：Was it a big city then? 及答语Yes ,it was. /No, it wasn’t. 能力目标：

1、能够听懂并且会说句子Was it a big city then? 答语Yes ,it was. /No, it wasn’t.

2、能够运用was 或were的问句询问过去事物或人物的特征和状态。

情感目标：

使学生乐于感知并积极尝试使用英语。

三、教学过程

Step1 Warm-up

1、Greetings 2、Sing a song(London Bridge is falling down)

Step 2:Review:opposite words Step 3:Lead-in T:Look at this picture,Who is he?

Ss:he’s... T:yes,he’s...he’s strong,but was he strong then?(引导学生回答Yes,he was。并说出对应的否定回答No，he wasn’t然后再出示两幅图片，让学生运用句型was she/he...then?Yes,he/she was.No,he/she wasn’t) Step 4:Presentation 1、学习课文

T:Look at this picture,Who is she?

Ss:she’s Amy T:Yes,she’s Amy,now he is introducing his grandpa,where is his grandpa? T:Yes,he’s in Shenzhen,look at this picture,how do you feel about Shenzhen? T:Yes,Shenzhen is a big city now(让学生看图片了解a big city的含义)，look at this picture，was it a big city then?(引导学生回答出No，it wasn’t,it was a small village then让学生看图片了解a small village的含义并教读village )，接着让学生欣赏一些关于深圳以前和现在的图片，了解深圳的变化。

2、听录音回答问题

T：Now please listen to the radio and answer the questions: Where is Amy's grandpa?

Is Shenzhen a big city now? Was Shenzhen a big city then? 3、let’s say：

运用句型

Was it/she/he …? Yes, it/she/he was. No, it /she/he wasn’t. Were they…?

Yes, they were. / No, they weren’t. 4、小结一般过去时

一般过去时过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态，常用的时间搭配为then,yesterday等等，含有be动词的句子相应句型变化只对was/were进行变化

5、Let’s practice:出示一些句型和相应的单词，用所出示的单词和句型进行练习。
