学生从3B就开始学习实意动词的一般现在时，逐渐过渡到其第三人称单数的，循序渐进，大部分同学都可以运用一般现在时进行简单的会话及书面表达。本单元的内容与学生其他科目联系紧密，有利于拓展学生的课外知识。学生感兴趣，就能学好。

本单元可能不好理解的内容：

国家名称，景观等专有名词的读音及书写以及有普通名词转化来的专有名词的特殊意义。如Tokyo, Great Wall（长城），Summer Palace（颐和园）等等。

一些国家的人文景观和饮食文化的了解，the British Museum（大英博物馆），Tokyo Tower(东京塔)，日本的sushi(寿司)，英伦传统美食fish and chips(炸鱼薯条) 语言知识与技能：

1. 能听、说、读、写核心词汇north, east, west, south, capital, tourist, building, in the north of, in the south of . 2. 在语境中熟练运用How long does it take to get to ...from ...by train/plane? It takes about...等。来描述两地时空距离。

3. 复习元音字母a和字母组合

Beihai Park

located in central Beijing, is one of the oldest and most authentically perserved imperial gardens in China. It has a history of 1000 years.

Beihai has existed throughout the Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Most of the buildings now standing were constructed during Emperor Qianlong's regin in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911 A.D.). Beihai was opened to the public in 1925 and in 1961 it was one of the first important cultural sites placed under protection by the State Council. The park occupies an area of 69 hectares including a 39-hectare lake. In the garden, pavilions and towers nestle amid the beautiful scenery of lakes and hills,grass and trees. Carrying on the traditions of garden landscaping of ancient China Beihai is a gem of garden art.

The Big Ben is located in the tower at the eastern end of the Houses of Parliament,

Westminster, Greater London. It was designed by Edmund Beckett and Baron Grimthorpe.

When most people heat the words "Big Ben" they immediately conjure up an image of the striking Victorian Gothic structure of the clock tower of the Palace of Westminster (the Houses of Parliament). Let's clear up a common misconception first; technically speaking, the name "Big Ben" does not refer to the famous tower, nor to the four huge clock faces of this London landmark; instead, it refers to the largest of the five bells inside the clock tower, whose chimes are such a familiar sound to listeners to BBC radio over the years.

The Louvre Museum is one of the world's largest museums, and a historic monument. A central landmark of Paris, France, it is located on the Right Bank of the Seine. Nearly 35,000 objects from prehistory to the 19th century are exhibited over an area of 60,600 square metres (652,300 square feet). With more than 8 million visitors each year, the Louvre is the world's most visited museum. The building was extended many times to form the present Louvre Palace. In 1682, Louis XIV chose the Palace of Versailles for his household, leaving the Louvre primarily as a place to display the royal collection, including, from 1692, a collection of antique sculpture. During the French Revolution, the National Assembly decreed that the Louvre should be used as a museum, to display the nation's masterpieces. The museum opened on 10 August 1793 with an exhibition of 537 paintings, the majority of the works being royal and confiscated church property. Because of structural problems with the building, the museum was closed in 1796 until 1801. After the defeat of Napoleon at Waterloo, many works seized by his armies were returned to their original owners. The collection was further increased during the reigns of Louis XVIII and Charles X, and during the Second French Empire the museum gained 20,000 pieces. Holdings have grown steadily through donations.
