般过去时对四年级的学生来说是难点，学生不易理解和掌握，老师可在课前设计一些简单有趣的活动来进行辅垫和复习。他们已经掌握了一定的英语词汇，对be动词的一般过去式有了一定的了解，具有一定的英语学习的积极性与主动性，具备了一定的英语语言运用能力。因此，在新知识传授的同时，教师要尽可能多的为学生创造良好的语言环境，在be动词一般过去式的“肯定”与“否定”中对比教学，给学生充足的语言“习得”机会，让学生在学习中积极参与、大胆发言，从而形成积极的外研版New Standard English（新标准英语）

《They were young》,现反思如下：

本课的设计主要运用了“任务型”教学法, 内容是谈论过去与现在的变化，学习和掌握一般过去时“be”的用法。在教学中我采用多样化的教学手段将听、说、玩、演溶于一体，激发学生学习英语的兴趣和愿望，使学生树立自信心，实现了学生能用所学语言做事情，在学习的过程中发展语言、思维、交流与合作的能力。

我坚持“发展为本”的原则，在时间、空间上为学生提供充分条件，引导学生多思、多说、多练，使学生在轻松愉快的环境下实现更多的信息交流，真正做到快乐学英语。

教学反思

在新知呈现环节，通过猜人物的活动来导入新课，学生比较感兴趣，有利于新课的教学；同时，学生通过观看人物由小变大的过程，学会了相关的重点句型内容，如：He was short then. They were young then. She wasn’t fat then..这些示范讲解让学生初步掌握was, wasn’t, were的用法。在新课教学中运任务型教学法来进行新课的教学，通过师生互动和小组合作的形式让学生边做边说来学习语言。在歌曲教学环节，我利用课本的歌谣来进行对比学习，学生的学习主动性得以提升，音乐智能得以培养，也更有利于理解本课句子的结构与意思。在最后阶段，通过布置连线的练习题，让学生通过动笔练习的方式加强知识的理解。还让学生谈自己和亲人的变化来巩固本课的知识，培养学生热爱家乡和亲人的良好品德，并把课堂知识向课外延伸，真正达到学以致用的目的。
