Teaching steps:
Step 1:Warming-up.
1. Greetings.
2. Play a game(Hit the words).
Step 2: Presentation. 1. Listen,point and day.
(1).Show a picture of a strong man.
(2).Listen carefully.
(3).Point and say.
(General study in the past) 2.Look at the pictures about Shenzhen.
(1).What do you know about Shenzhen? Was it a big city then?
No.It was a very small village then. (2).Listen and say. (3)Act it out. (3).Complete the sentences. 3.Practise. (1).Look at the pictures and talk about them. (2).Write the questions. (3).Ask and answer. Was + it/he/she... +adj.?
----Yes, it/he/she... was.
----No, it/he/she... wasn’t.
Step 3: In class exercises. Complete the exercises. Step 4: Summary.
Important words and sentences. Step 4: Homework 1.Read the dialogues. 2.Make sentences with the new words.
