Lesson 5 What do you do?
第一课时 【学习目标】
1. I can listen and read the words, then practice the sentence pattern with different words. 2. I can introduce my job. 【学习重点、难点】
重点:
词汇teacher、worker、postman、doctor等的掌握。
难点:理解和掌握What do you do ? I am a….Where do you work? I work in…. 并灵活运用。
【教学准备】
教师准备: 1.教师、工人、医生、邮递员的人物图片。
2.扳手、厨师帽、警帽。
学生准备:
喜欢的职业的标志性物品,如:帽子、工具等实物。

【教学流程】
Step1. Warm-up
Let’s chant. 师唱歌谣What do you want to be in the future? ,让生听一听并且注意所听到有关职业的词。
【设计意图】歌谣对学生来说是件有趣的事情,节奏感强,很吸引学生。因此,每个学生集中注意力,全身心投入。通过歌谣的重点词的记忆,把学生带入职业的话题中去,与本课主题自然地贴合。
Step2. Lead-in It’s 20 years later, we have a classmate party. I am still a teacher. I work in the school. I want to know: What do you do ? Where do you work ?(板书句子)Give you 3 minutes to think about it. 现在是20年后,我们举办了个同学聚会,利用同学聚会这个情境来引出本课的重点句型,给学生时间思考,利用板书让学生身临其境。
Step3. Presentation and practice 1.T:Hello , Sam. What do you do ? S: I am a worker. T:Where do you work ? S:I work in a factory. 教师边问边板书简笔画,依次导出teacher/school、doctor/hospital、postman/post office。
2.Listen to the tape. 3.Listen , point and read. 4.Listen , point and read again. 5.Practice it in pairs. 6.Practice it in groups. 6.Show. 【设计意图】在练习的过程中,通过画画等富有趣味性的活动,层层递进,进行扎实地操练。
Step4.Production Guessing game: Please guess what do I do ? Where do I work ?(师将警察帽子戴上,让生猜) T:Yes. I am a policeman. I work in the Kaixuan road. I like it very much because I can protect the people. 1.教师先和学生配合进行示范。
T: Who want to be the policeman ? S: Me. T: What do you do ? Where do you work ? Do you like your job ? ……
T: What do I do ?(师将扳手拿出来)I am a worker. I work in a construction site. 2. Group work
学生准备了各种道具,有医生的听诊器、警察的帽子等,形象有趣,让学生在真实的情景中进行句型的创编和操练。
3. Group show Practice it in groups to talk about the job. 【设计意图】经过前面的几个教学环节,学生已经熟悉并掌握了本课的对话内容和主题句型,教师再带领大家回到生活中进行体验和展示,孩子们沉浸在轻松的英语情境中乐此不疲。 Step5.Summary Look at them. Who are the big winners. I think you should respect each other without distinction. 【设计意图】通过评价贴上相关职业的物品,从而升华为情感目标让学生知道无论任何职业不分贵贱要懂得互相尊重。
Step6.Homework Fill in the blank What ? Name Uncle Aunt Grandpa Grandma
