一、
教学目标
1.知识目标
(1)认读新单词later, cloud, clear, shine, raincoat. (2)理解词组talk about, laugh at.
(3)理解文章大意。
2.能力目标
(1)能根据图片及关键词进行复述。
(2)能在老师的帮助下,结合自己所学过的语言对简单谈论天气。
(3)能让学生通过不同层次的读,获取文本信息,并掌握阅读的技巧,提高文本阅读能力。
3.情感目标
(1)进一步激发学生学习的积极性和自信心;
(2)通过阅读文本,帮助学生了解英国的天气和英国人的一些习惯,并体会洛阳的天气。
二、教学重难点
(1)能让学生通过不同层次的读,获取文本信息,并掌握阅读的技巧,提高文本阅读能力。
(2)通过圈、划等方式,学生能够学会自我分析文本,发现问题,提出问题,解决问题,最终能够总结学习方法。
三、教学过程
Step 1 Pre-reading
1. Greetings
(教师询问学生今天的天气以及明天的天气情况作为课前的一个语言互动环节)。
2.通过简笔画导入UK & London,以及文本题目“The weather in the UK ”
教师简笔画,问: “Please have a look!Do you know what is it?”
Big Ben, London eye, London Bridge ---
T: “Where is it?
S: “England
.”
T: “The UK. What do people often talk about in the UK?”
S: “Weather
.”
T: “Why? ”
“Do you want to know the weather in the UK? Today, we’ll talk about the weather in the UK”(教师板书课题“The weather in the UK”)
【设计思路】引导学生去发现信息,通过学生的问题或表述引出英国的天气,在自然、真实的语境中出示本课的中心词“weather”。
Step 2 Listening
1. Listen and answer. 找出本课的中心句
Look and answer.
T: In the UK, people often talk about the weather. Why?
【设计思路】
学生通过听阅读找出英国谈论天气的原因,一天有四个季节。老师板书change quickly, 学生齐读第一段。
Step3 Read carefully and underline
T: Please read carefully and underline. What’s the weather like in one day in the UK?
教师引导学生进行深入细致的阅读,并在书上画出问题的具体信息。(1)学生自主阅读,完成任务;教师巡回观察完成情况。
【设计思路】教师在巡回的过程中,关注学生的两个方面,一是否明确任务要求,即知道做什么,二是看学生完成的速度与准确度,并随时做好helper的准备。
(2)学生自主分享自己所找到关于英国天气的相关信息,教师根据一天的四个季节在黑板上分别给出简笔画,书写关键词和词组。
Part 1: 关键词

S: In the morning, the weather is warm, and it’s just like a spring day.
(简笔画小太阳warm,板书关键词,morning,warm, spring,让学生照着关键词复述)

Part 2: 关键词

T: In the morning, the weather is warm, but what’s the weather an hour later? Who knows the meaning of an hour? 学生汉语说hour的意思。
S1: An hour later black clouds come, it rains hard like in summer. T: Cloud, Rain, rain hard(肢体语言诠释rain hard, 并板书简笔画和关键词,引导学生用关键词复述。)

Part 3:关键词组
afternoon, clear, shine, autumn T: And then, how about the afternoon? S1: In the afternoon the sky will be clear, the sun will begin to shine, and it can be like a day in autumn.
T: The sky will be clear, the sun will be shine(肢体解释shine). (边讲边画简笔画—太阳,照射并肢体语言诠释shine,板书关键词,afternoon, clear, shine, autumn引导学生用关键词复述。)

Part 4:关键词

T: And then, what’s the weather?
S1: The evening comes, and it can be cold like a winter’s day.
(板书简笔画关键词evening, cold, winter,引导学生看黑板用关键词复述。)

出示一些英国人晴天外出带伞的照片引导学生巩固

morning.在学生感受的过程中出示图片引导学生说出You should not laugh at them, if you don’t take an umbrella or a raincoat ,you may get wet in the rain later in the day
。
【设计思路】细读课文,学生在边读边划线的过程中学会提取文本信息,找出信息,并对信息进行梳理。学生完成信息的收集,已经基本掌握了本篇文本的框架,此时再将学生找到信息归类讲解,帮助
学生再次梳理文章脉络,让学生自然的达成完整语篇语句的表述,水到渠成。
Step4. Read again and find the questions in pairs.(教师领读课文,同桌读课文,回答问题):
1. What do people often talk about in the UK? Why? 2. How many seasons are there in one day? 3. What’s the weather like in one day in the UK?(可以合作回答) 4. What do they take on a sunny morning? 【设计意图】通过这个环节的再次精读,学生需要合作找出问题。并在这个环节对学生掌握不好的知识点进行查缺补漏。引导孩子逐句对本课进行复述。
Step5. Listen and Try to retell the passage with the key words.
【设计思路】学生已完全掌握文本内容,在原版录音的帮助下感知语速和语流,为下一步复述课文做准备。
T:“Let’s try to introduce the weather in the UK”
利用板书,教师示范介绍一遍,然后学生尝试介绍英国天气。
【设计思路】在老师的帮助下,借助板书的关键词用自己的话讲述文本的大概内容。
Step 6 Post-reading
Introduce the weather in Luoyang
T: Let us talk about the weather in Luoyang. How about in spring?
What’s the weather like in summer? What about autumn? And is it cold in winter? 四人小组讨论,并说一说。
【设计思路】对于学生的分享与交流,教师及时通过鼓励、赞赏的语言给予肯定,并对writing skill的技巧进行总结。
Step 7
Homework
Write a passage or some sentences about weather of Luoyang .
