Do you want to visit the UN buliding?

一、Warm up and lead in

a. Greeting.

T: Hello, boys and girls. Before the class, let’s chant together. Clap your hands.

Ss: Clap the hands and chant.

T: Thank you! Then I want to divide you into two groups. Group dabao and xiaobao. At last, the

winner group will get a real apple. Do you want it? Ss: Yes.

T: So fighting!(加油手势)

T: Now I want to show you some photos. I went to Qingtian River with my family. There are lots of waters, flowers, trees and mountains. We took many photos there. It’s very interesting and we had a great time there. Do you want to go to the Qingtian River?

Ss: Yes.

T: In fact, there are lots of beautiful places in China. Let’s have a look. (出示中国一些著名风景区的图片,让学生用英语说说是哪里)

b. Leading.

T: Now let's have a guessing game.(出示英文提示让学生用英语回答是哪里)Then lead to the topic---Do

you want to visit the UN building?(简介联合国,让学生有初步的认识)

二、Text Learning

A: Listen and answer.

T: Today Daming and Simon want to visit the UN building. Let’s listen and find the answer. Each paragraph listens two times.

Q1: Where is the UN building?

Q2: What’s the UN building like?

Q3: Where do they see in front of the building?

Q4: Where are the flags from?

Q5: How many member states are there in the UN? (课件呈现问题和答案, 学生回答后要马上给予评价) T: Now let’s listen to the para3 and answer the questions.

Q1: Does Daming want to go inside the UN building?

Q2: What’s the present from China?

Q3: What does Daming want to do?

(课件呈现问题和答案, 学生回答后要马上给予评价,并总结出本节课的新词组,写在卡片上贴黑板上)

B. Practice the new phrases. ( all around, member state, go inside, one of and take a photo) T: First, I read one you read two.

Then having a small game---golden finger.(练习单词)

Read one by one.

Let a little teacher to teach the Ss.

(练习单词为读课文做铺垫)

C. Read in roles.

T: Each group needs three Ss to act out.(每组读完马上给予评价)

三、Practice

A. Make a dialogue with your deskmate.(课件出示例子,找学生和老师对话)

B. Do a survey.

T: Two ways to show: 1. let the leader to show after your discussing. 2. Talk about “where do you want to visit” in your group.(课件出示详细要求和例子)

每组做完马上给予评价。

四、小结并做德育渗透

T: Now let’s go back to the passage and fill the blank of what do you know about the UN?

T: Do you want to know more about the UN?

Ss: Yes.

(课件出示汉语联合国知识小链接,找学生读给大家) T: Then I will show you some pictures about the war. What’s your feeling?

(学生可以用汉语说出自己的想法,最后师小结)

T:The world is beautiful, and I wish there is no war in the world. Let’s show our love and make the world a better place.(世界是美丽的,我希望世界上没有战争,让我们用爱来创造一个更美好的世界吧!)

五、Homework

The holiday is coming,

Please write your travel plan and talk about it with your friends.
