Lesson5： What are they doing?

设计理念：

英语是一门实践性、交际性都很强的课程，英语教学的最终目的是让学生能够自如地去运用它、驾驭它，对于小学生来说兴趣很重要，开展丰富多彩的游戏，对话活动，以激发学生的学习兴趣，让他们在“玩中学”，在“做中学”，使他们在轻松快乐的氛围中有效掌握并并运用知识。

教学目标：

1.知识与技能：掌握并灵活应用短语Reading the newspaper，Playing cards，Playing with。

理解并灵活运用下列句型 :What is he/she doing? He/She is __ing.What are you doing? -- I’m __ing .What are they doing? They’re __ing.介绍你身边的朋友在做什么。

2.过程与方法: 情景交流及对话表演

3.情感态度: 学会细心观察,与他人合作和关心他人. 教学重、难点: 理解课文并能够熟练使用句型What is he/she doing? He/She is __ing.What are you doing? -- I’m __ing .What are they doing? –

They’re __ing.

教学策略：

在课堂上主要运用多媒体展示及对话练习的学习方式，通过游戏对话，小组合作等形式，充分激发学生学习兴趣，调动起对话练习的积极性，发挥出学生的主体作用，借助卡片、多媒体等技术手段，提高课堂效率，做到师生互动、生生互动，使学生牢固掌握知识。

教学准备：多媒体课件、词卡、练***转盘。

教学过程:

一、Greetings and review 1.Greeting：师生互致问候，进行日常口语对话。

T：Good afternoon boys and girls. S：Good afternoon teacher. 2.Let’s Sing an English song“Who is singing?”

音乐响起，多媒体展示歌曲，师生共唱，并可以随意做动作，渲染课堂气氛。

3．Game and guess:Act and make sentences

教师利用词卡出示动词，指明一名同学根据单词内容做动作进行表演，其他学生猜词语，说动词的现在分词、说句子。

师示范：run---running---I am running. 例词：walk, run, jump, dance, sing, sit down, stand up, sleep, draw a picture, read a book, sing a song,cry, talk, eat, drink...... 二、New Concept 1.用whisper游戏导入新课。

指出4—5名同学到前面做动作，悄悄告诉每人一个动作（如：read a book, draw a picture, jump, sing a song，cry，sleep.）分别提问做动作的同学：What are you doing now? 让他们自己做答，然后依次问其他同学：What is she doing now? What is he doing now?答完后，指着台上的几位同学问：What are they doing now?引出课题，进行板书，再指着“they”

提问“they”means 2. 教学新课。

①展示图片1，提问学生“What is the boy doing now?”学生答“He is crying.”提问学生“now”means . ②依次展示图片，引导学生进行提问，并做答（可以采取各种形式提问，如男生问女生答或者一人问其他人答等）。

②教师领导课文或者指名学生领读课文。

③分角色朗读课文。

2．Finish the blank. 提问学生：What are Jenny,Li Ming and Danny doing on the train? 让学生根据课文内容填空。独立完成，集体订正。

3.Group work（小组活动）：利用大转盘讨论“What are they doing??”

教师先进行演示，让学生仔细观察。

然后分组练习，说一说，写一写。

最后进行汇报交流。
