一、教学背景分析：

1、教学内容分析

本课是冀教版小学五年级下册第二单元第7课。本课讲述了李明等人乘火车到达了北京，他们乘坐公交车去宾馆路上所发生的事情。该课内容形象、直观、贴近生活，易于学生理解和接受。

2、学习者分析

经过两年半的英语学习，五年级学生对英语课堂教学已经非常熟悉,同时对英语有着浓厚的兴趣,他们好奇心、好胜心和求知欲都很强,接受能力快。而且，在第一单元的学习中，学生已经对men, women, children，

people等名词进行了学习，从而为本课复数名词的学习打好了基础，减小了学习新课的难度。在此课中，教学内容形象直观，贴近生活，学生乐学，兴趣浓厚。

二、教学目标：

1. 知识与技能目标:

（1）能够听懂、会说、认读和书写下列词汇：people, many, men, women, children。

（2）能够听懂、会说、理解并运用句型：

They are on their way to__________ . There are many _________ .

2. 学习策略目标：

通过学习新单词，学生们了解到名词变复数的特殊形式；在小组学习中，培养自主、探究的学习策略。

3. 情感态度目标：

通过学习本课，感知人们丰富多彩的公园活动。

三、教学重难点：

教学重点：

（1）能够听懂、会说、认读和书写下列词汇：people, many, men, women, children。

（2）能够听懂、会说、理解并运用句型：

教学难点：学生能够理解并掌握下列单词的单复数形式：

五、教学过程：

Step 1: Greetings and Warm-up 1、

Greetings ：

T: Good morning，boys and girls！

How are you today?

How’s the weather today?

（设计意图：通过师生问候，使学生自然地进入英语学习状态）

2、Warm-up: Sing a song What are you doing? I’m watching TV. I’m watching TV. What are you doing? I’m cooking. Cooking, cooking, cooking.

What are you doing? I’m eating, eating. En, yummy!

What are you doing?

I’m washing my hands.

(设计意图：这一环节用英文歌曲激发学生参与课堂的兴趣，此歌曲中含有上单元所学重点内容——正在进行时，起到了很好的复习作用，并为学习新的知识做了铺垫。)

Step 2：

Demonstration and Practice （1）

T: Today, we will learn Lesson 7 Arriving in Beijing.

T shows a picture of “man” to students.

T asks students “What’s this?”

And then T shows a picture of “men” and lets students guess it. T teaches this new word “men” and tells students the difference of “man/men” and “apple/apples”.

T teaches the words “women”“children” through similar ways. T guides the students：

men, women, children——they are

people. （通过观察教学图片，学生可以学习到man, woman, children的复数形式，使抽象的学习内容变得形象、具体、生动。）

Pair Work：

T shows six pictures about the new words and lets students talk about what they are. T shows three pictures and lets students answer the questions. Practice

T: What are the children doing?

S: The children are reading books. T: What is the man doing? S: The man is running. T: What are the women doing? S: The women are going shopping.

(设计意图：在教授单词之后，设置了练习，可巩固学习效果，让学生在不知不觉中就能轻松愉快地掌握该学习重点，活跃教学气氛，增强教学效果。) Step 3：Demonstration and Practice (2)

T shows a picture of Beijing Train Station and asks students the questions.

S: This is Beijing Train Station.

T shows another picture of their arrival of Beijing Train Station and asks them: “What can you see?” And then T guides students to say the sentence: They arrive in Beijing at 1:17 in the afternoon. And then T shows other pictures of the text and guides students to say these sentences: They are on their way to the hotel.

A child is flying a kite. Some children are playing football.

A young woman is singing.

Some old women are dancing.

A man is running.

Watch the video:

T shows the video to students. (设计意图：老师在教授课文之后，让学生们观看课文视频，巩固了学习效果，加深了学习印象。) Group work:
