Step 1

Warm-up( including review) T:Class begins. Ss:Stand up. Good morning, Miss Zhan. T:Good morning,class. Do you remember the months of one year? Ss:Yes. T:Can you tell what are them? Ss:January, February, March...... Activity 1: let’s chant. T:Wow, you are very good. Ok, now,please at the big screen, here is a chant. Let’s chant it together, ok?

(Ss chant with teacher)

Step 2

Lead-in Teacher shows Ss a red packet T: Did you get your red packets or not during the Spring Festival.

Ss: Yes. T: That’s very nice. Then. Do you know your age now?

Ss Yes. 11/10/12. Then teacher naturally lead into the new lesson. Teacher would tell students that we often use this sentence to ask someone his age: How old are you?

Step 3

Presentation

Follow the above situation, the teacher shows the page of the lesson title in PPT and write the title on the blackboard.

Activity1

Teacher shows some picture to ask students make a practice of the sentence: How old are you? / How old is he/she?(It aims to make students remember the sentence ) Ss: How old is he/she? T: Good. And do you know the answer for the question?

Ss: Yes./No. T: That’s cool. Please look at the blackboard.(Then teacher write the common response for the question on the blackboard. T: Please pay attention to the emission form. Look, ‘ I’m ’=‘ I am ’. Do you understand it? (Also teacher should tell students that when the number filled in the blank is more than two, the word year would add a ‘s’ at its end.)

Ss: Yes.

T: Now,I’d like to ask some students to make a dialogue with me, who want to try? Then pick up some students to do the interaction. (It aims to check whether students master it.) Activity 2

Ss would be asked to do the pair work of the two sentence for 2 minutes, after that teacher would ask someone to do the pair work

in the front of class.

T: Ok, all of you done a good job, let’s thumb up for yourselves. (Teacher show the thumb)
