教学过程：

Step 1. Warm-up (1)

Looking at the video：answering teacher’s question -- “What did the girl do in the morning?” and guessing what did she do after that?”

Step 2. Pre-reading

(1) Skimming: reading quickly to get the main idea of the story. And then discussing in the group.

(2) Scanning: reading more carefully. And then underline the key words according to the practice in p. 33. Step 3. While-reading

(1) Listening to the computer.

(2) Finding out the difficult words:

sharing the difficult words in the group. Trying one’s best to read and guess its meaning. (3) Group work : translating and pointing out what should be paid attention to. (4) Finishing p.33. Step 4. Post-reading (1)

Discussion: Is Xiaohui a good student? Why? (2)

Practice: reading and choosing.
