1.Daily greetings to the students. And let the students sing an English song about《The day of the week》.

2.Review the subjects by connecting English words. Ask some groups to guess words. Then compare which group is the fastest. Ⅱ. Presentation. 1.Review the description words by answering some questions in Chinese and English. Teach new words about “free” and “cool”. 2.Work on 1a. 3.Work on 1b. Listen to the tape. Check the description words.

3.Present the new words about the week. Teach the new words: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday Ⅲ. Practice. 1.Chant. 2.Pair-work.

Let the students practice the sentences about: What’s your favorite subject?/ Why do you like it?/ When is the class? 3.Listening practice. (1) Ask the students to answer some questions after listening the tape about 1c. ①

What subjects do they talk about? ③

What does David think of the subjects? (2) Listen again. Work on 1c.

(3)Ask the students to fill in the blanks. Then show the students’ answers. Ⅳ. Consolidation. 1.Pair work Work on 1d. Students talk about David’s favorite subject. 2.Group work

Let a student report their members’ favorite subjects and give reasons.

Talk about your best friend’s favorite subject and give reasons.
