It was …that …

1】So it was with great excitement one morning in July 1914 that I

read this advertisement: (P3)

【点拨】 It was /is +被强调部分

+that 从句.

It was about 600 years ago that the first clock with a face and an hour hand was made.

Was it about 600 years ago that the first clock with a face and

an hour hand was made?

When was it that the first clock with a face and an hour hand was

made?

a. It is +一段时间

+since 从句

It is 3 years since I smoked.

It is 600 years since the first clock with a face and an hour hand was made.

That was really a splendid evening. It’s years ____ I enjoyed myself so much.

A. when

B. that

C. before

D. since

b. It was/will be(not)+一段时间+before从句

It will be more than 100 years before the city returns to its normal.

It won’t be long before we know the result of the experiment.

It was some time _____ we realized the truth.

A. when

B. until

C. since

D. before

c. It was +

时间点

+ when 从句

It was five o’clock when we arrived home yesterday.

It was at five o’clock that we arrived home yesterday.

When he thanked me, I was moved. It was then that I realized how vital it is to help a person in great need of help. I swore that I should do what I could to help others.

21、选A。从后面的状语…to see her mother中可以得到启发。

25、选A。

下文中有and letting it carry her 这样类似用法。

30、选A。

as表示“当……

34、选A。

35、选A。

37、选A。
