一：教学内容与课型

人教版新课标高中英语必修4 第一单元Unit 1 Women of Achievement 第一课时阅读课 A Student of African Wildlife 二：教学目标设计

1. 知识目标：

学习并掌握本课的词汇，句型及语法现象。

behave, shade, worthwhile, observe, respect, argue, lead a …life, crowd in, inspire, support, move off, wander, work out.

This means going back to the place where we left the family sleeping in a tree the night before .

Only after her mother came to her help for the first few months was she allowed to begin her project .

Once we stop , it all comes crowding in and I remember the chimps in laboratories .

2. 能力目标：

进一步训练学生的略读（Scanning）,细读（Close Reading ），归纳内容（Summarizing）等阅读技巧，

把握篇章中心内容，

获取关键信息，

并且能针对阅读内容表达自己的观点。

3. 情感目标：通过了解Jane Goodall的事迹，

唤起学生对野生动物的尊敬和保护意识。并且激起学生勇于克服困难，实现理想的决心。

五：教学程序。

1.

Leading-in 本科引入部分采取了向学生介绍几位古今中外的有成就的女性。实际意图是引起学生相当的兴趣，尤其是会引起女生对成功的向往。这些成功的女性包括居里夫人，武则天，

以及杨澜。具体活动方式是先英文介绍她们的成就，

再让学生猜名字。这样就更能增

加课堂的趣味性。

引入之后，采取了小组内部成员讨论问题。What qualities do you think a great woman should have? 设计意图是延展学生的思维和锻炼学生的总结归纳能力。

Skimming for the main idea. 这部分为略读，

略读是让学生在短时间内读完全文，

目的主要是掌握大意和关键信息点，

达到先期整体理解文章的意图。在此，设置了几个问题来检测学生略读的效果。

1. Who is the protector? 2. What animals are observed? 3. When did Jane Goodall arrive in Gombe? How old was she? 4. What was the purpose of her study of the chimps? 此外，

还增加了段落大意的匹配。进一步帮组学生了解整篇文章的结构。

Careful reading 这部分属于精读。精读就是仔细阅读文章，透彻理解文章内容，然后根据问题，运用自己所掌握的各方面相关信息进行判断，

回答细节问题以及深层次挖掘文章内涵。

这部分我主要采取的手段是分段进行精读，

并且让学生在小组内讨论我给出的细节问题。我先设置好需要查找的信息和具体的事实。利用小组互问互答的方式培养学生的获取信息、发现问题、分析问题、解决问题、用英语交流和与人合作的能力。

Reading for comprehension 这部分主要采取了让学生回答问题的教学手段，设置了几个较有深度的问题。阅读理解能力是学生英语综合技能的一个重要方面。正确把握文章主旨大意并且正确理解文章深层含义是高中英语教师应对学生进行的重点训练。本部分设置了4个选择题和2个问答题。

Extended discussion 这部分设计了一个课外讨论话题。Do you think you will go if you are asked to study animals in the wild ? Why and why not? 英语教学的目的主要是培养学生口头和书面运用英语的能力。两方面是相辅相成的。

通过让学生口头回答问题可以锻炼口语表达能力。同时这个问题又和本文相关。

所以又可以当做对所学知识的总结和检测，可谓两全其美。

5.

Homework 此部分设置的问题也是和本单元内容相关。Surf the internet to find out more information about other great women and you are expected to present it to your peer next class .
