The teaching objects:

1. Students can ask and answer with the sentences: Who’s that boy/ girl/ man/ woman? He’s/ She’s ....

2. Students can read and act the story fluently.

3. Students can introduce the family members and express the love to them.

1.Students can know and use the words: really, beautiful, actress.

2.Students can read and act the story fluently.

3.How to express the love to the family.

The teaching methods:

Import method, TPR, task-based method, enlightening teaching method and so on.

The teaching steps:

一.Warm up

1. Greeting with the students and then ask and answer.

T: Hello, boys and girls. How are you?

Ss: I’m fine, thank you.

T: Who’s that boy/ girl?

Ss: He’s/ She’s ....

T: Is he/ she ...?

Ss: Yes, he/ she is. No, he/ she isn’t.

2.Let’s chant.

The man is the father---tall, tall, tall!

The woman is the mother---not so tall.

That’s the son---small, small, small.

They are a family, one and all.

二.Lead in

1.A. T: They are a happy family, yes or no? Yes, I have a happy family, too. Please look.

B. Show the picture of my family. Introduce the members. For example: He’s/ She’s my....

2.We have two friends today. They have a happy family, too. Look! Show the pictures of Yang MI and Angelababy.

T: Who’s that woman?

Ss: She’s Yang Mi/ Angelababy.

T: Is she beautiful?

Ss: Yes, she is.

T: Yes, she is really beautiful! She is an actress.

3.Lead to Zip and Zoom.

T: Who’s that boy/ girl?

Ss: He’s/ She’s Zip/ Zoom.

三.Presentation

1. T: Today Zi p and Zoom will tell a story for us. Let’s listen. OK? After listening, please tell me: Who’s that man/ woman? Now please listen carefully.

2. Find students to answer the two questions.

A. Who’s that man? He’s Zoom’s father/ dad.

B. Who’s that woman? She’s Zoom’s mother/ mum/ mom.

3. Look and number.

Look and read the story by students themselves. Then number for the pictures about the story. Later students say the answers, the teacher checks.

4. Listen to the story again, then complete the sentences. The teacher checks the answers with the students together.

5. Listen again and then cat it out. Please several groups to act the story out in the class.

6. At last, the teacher leads the students to fill in the blank:

Zoom has a family.

四.Consolidation & Extension

1. Introduce the teacher’s own small family to the students. Then please the students introduce theirs.

For example: This is my…. He’s/ She’s…. I love him/ her. ….

2. Students show their family members and introduce them.

For example：Hello, my name’s …. This is my …. This is my …. My father is …. My mother is …. I love my … and ….

3. Explain the meaning of “Family” to the student.

Father and mother I love you

4. Encourage the students to express the love to their family members. Father and mother, I love you.

Grandfather and grandmother, I love you.
