Starter Unit 1 Good morning! 是Go for it!预备篇三个单元的第一单元。预备篇是为了使那些没有英语基础的学生更好地使用本套教材而编写的。它的主要内容为26个字母和最基本的英语日常用语。我们的学生在小学学习了四年英语，有一定的英语基础。

Teaching aims:

1.识别和掌握八个人名。

2. 学会早上见面打招呼的用语。

正确朗读和书写Aa—Hh八个字母。

3.了解一些常用缩略字的含义。

Language points:

1.词汇：

LettersAa--Hh, Alice Bob Cindy Dale Eric Frank Grace Helen

2.句型：

Hello! Good morning! Good afternoon. Good evening.

Difficulties:八个人名的掌握, Aa--Hh大小写和书写

Value: Learn the difference between Chinese names and English names and to be polite to others.

Teaching procedures:

Step1 Warm up

Greet classmates to lead in and draw their interest.

Step2 Presentation

Show the names and help Ss to memorize them through playing a memory game.

Step3 1a

Lead Ss to look at the picture and ask them to write down the names. Ask Ss

to pay attention to the first letter and notice the differences between male names and female names.

Teach Ss to write their own names in English.

Step4 Presentation

Teach Ss how to greet people at different times.

Step5 1b&1c

Listen and repeat, work in pairs.

Step6 2a-2d

Listen and repeat the eight letters.

2. Put all the big letters in order.

3.Listen and number the letters they hear.

4.Teach them how to write these big and small letters.

5.Write the small letter for each big letter.

6. Ask two of them to write the letters on the Bb. Walk around and offer help.

Step8 2e

Show some letters and ask them to read first, and then guess what they stand for. If they have difficulties,T can give them some hints. Teach Ss to read and know the meanings of other abbreviations.

Step9 Consolidation and homework

Revise the letters and grasp the eight names and encourage them to use their English names if they can.
