教学设计

Task 1 Compare the School System Activity 1 Warming up---Ask Ss to answer the question to test their existing knowledge and to stimulate the interest in reading. What do you know about the high school system in the US? Activity 2Read and compare ---pair work Ask Ss to read the text carefully and fill in the blanks to compare the similarity and the difference between the American and Chinese school systems.

1. When dealing with Cultural Corner, before reading, first ask the students to say in groups of 4 something about the Chinese school system and the American school system and the differences between

them.(Get each group to list them and then collect them on the blackboard) In this way, the students may have some idea of what they are going to do. 2. Ask the students to read the passage and then compare them with what they’ve already known. In doing this, the students are also fully prepared for speaking something about the Chinese school system
