Teaching reflection

The theme of this class is “Choose five from seven”. We know that this is the most difficult part of our English examination. It is difficult not only for students but also for teachers. I divide the whole class into eight parts. Using a game as lead-in, I successfully arouse the students’ interest of learning English. Then I give them a passage which I put the sentences in disorder. After several minutes, I ask them to put the sentences into correct order. The passage itself is about friendship, so students show great interest in it. After putting all the sentences into correct order, let students think about a question---why can they do such kind of games so quickly and correctly?

Then come to the strategies of solving problems, which is the main

purpose of this class. Teach students the techniques and then ask them to put what they learn into practise. By asking them to finish the practise quickly and correctly, I can tell that they handle this part very well. Most importantly, I ask them to make a summary about what they learn in this class so that I can test whether they master the knowledge or not. At last, some homework is given to them after class. All in all, in my opinion, we all reach our goals in this class. I teach them what they must master. And they master what they have taught. It is

a great success. But I know there are still some problems. The lower level students can not master the knowledge so well. So I know on the way of teaching, there is still a long way to go. I have confidence in myself. And also, I will keep learning. I learn from the teachers who are rich in teaching experience. At the same time, I should do more reading, writing and speaking, which can not only enrich my knowledge but also let me know more about the world.
