Unit 2 My family C Story time

Step 1 Warm-up and lead-in

1. Greetings.

The teacher greets to students. 2. Sing a song: 《Boy and girl》

3. A happy English slogan: East or west, home is best. 4. A chant.

A happy chant about family members.

( 设计意图：通过歌曲复习旧知,活跃课堂气氛。利用chant来导入主题：family，激发学生积极主动参与学习。)

Step 2 Presentation

1. Introduce Zoom’s friends

we will learn the four new words: strong, beautiful, co-ol and pretty.

(1) T: Today. Zoom’s friends will visit his home. Let’s see who are they? Listen (咚咚咚敲门声,然后出现Mike的图片). Who’s that boy?

Ss: He’s Mike.

T: Look at Mike. He’s cool.

(2) Introduce Amy, John and Zip in the same way.

（设计意图：通过介绍朋友，引出生词，引导学生认真听、读，突破难点，为之后的故事教学打下基础。）

2. Learn about Zoom’s family members

Introduce Zoom’s family members with friends’

questions:“Who’s that man/ woman/ girl/ boy?

(1)Zoom’s friends look at the picture and want to know who

are they? So they have some questions. First, Amy has a question. Listen and repeat.

(2) Students listen and repeat the dialogue between Amy and

Zoom. Then the teacher teaches them to read.

(3) Read the dialogue. The teacher asks and Students answer.

At the same time, the teacher sticks the key words on the board. (Layout design)

Learn about Zoom’s brother and father in the same way.

(5) Zip: Who’s that woman?

T: Can you guess who’s that woman? Guide Ss to answer

the question).

改编了文本，扩展语言。）

Step 3 Practice

1. Teach Students to read the story.

2. Students read the story by themselves.

3. Retell the story with the help of layout.

（设计意图：通过跟读，自由读，复述等方式，引导学生会读，熟读课文，培养学生良好的语音语调。复述故事帮助学生进一步理解、掌握故事内容，为之后的环节打下基础。）

Step 4 Production

1. Role play

There are two tasks for Students, and they can choose one to finish . Then they try to act out in the class.

2. A happy English song: I love my family.

(设计意图：在学生对故事充分理解、掌握的基础上，激励学生分小组合作表演故事,培养他们的英语口语能力。)

Step 5 Homework

1. Act out the story to parents after class.

2. Show the family photos to classmate or friends.
