Words in each unit Period 1 【Teaching aims】

Revise “What’s your name?

My name is ....”

Revise the vocabulary in Unit 1. 【Teaching analysis】

In this period, students will revise the vocabulary in Unit 1. The vocabularies are all school things. They are familiar to students. 【Important and difficult points】

Important point: Listen, speak and read the vocabularies. Difficult point: Pronounce the vocabularies correctly. 【Teaching steps】

Step 1 Revision

Ask Ss,: If I don’t know somebody, what will I say?”

Show “What’s your name? My name is ....”

Practice the conversation in different ways.

Step 2 A game

Play a game:

Ask some students come to the whiteboard and point it. There will be some students’ name appearing. They make conversations in pairs.

Step 3 Vocabulary

Show schools things in conversation ways,”What’s your name? My name is Ruler.”(So do Pencil, Eraser, Crayon, Bag, Pen, Pencil box, Book.”

Get students to practice the conversations in different ways.

Show words and pictures of the school things. Students match them.

Step 4 Practice and consolidation

Students take out their school things and make conversations in different ways with their partners.
