学生们对于有关上海著名景点词汇都有些许了解，其中有学生熟悉的，亦有学生陌生的。所以本单元着重围绕“Travelling in Shanghai”为主话题展开教学，帮助学生如何有条理地向别人来介绍上海的景点。也在这过程中，让学生了解上海的过去和现在，进而激发他们作为“新上海人”热爱上海的思想感情。另外也考虑到学生与学生之间在听说读写等语言综合运用能力上有强弱之分，所以在教学过程中的过程性评价会采取多样化、阶梯式的方式层层递进。

【第一课时教学目标】

1．初步认知元音音标/u/ 和/u:/, 及其发音的区别。

2．在为外国友人介绍上海的语境中，理解并学习本单元中上海的著名景点的英语名称及其正确的书写方式: modern, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Jinmao Tower, line, Yu Garden, Chinese knot, silk, museums; 3. 能结合语境，听懂提到的景点名称及其大致方位和主要特征。

4. 能正确规范地介绍上海主要景点的英语名称

5. 能通过阅读主动获取信息，并整理信息，形成对英语口头表达和书写的有力支撑。

6. 能激发作为“新上海人”热爱上海的思想感情；

7. 能在语篇阅读、梳理信息的过程中，学会合理安排在上海的旅游线路。
