Lesson 9 When is it ? 一、教材分析

本课是冀教版四年级下册第9课。在本课中主要学习有关节日的英文词汇,以及通过 When is _____?It is ____.这个句型学习如何询问节日时间。在教学中教师应该帮助学生运用所学的语言进行交流,达到能够灵活运用,让学生综合自己所学的知识正确描述出这些节日。

二、学情分析 四年级的学生已经掌握了一定的英语单词及词汇、用语。在此基础上,让学生理解本课中描述六个节日的英文表达法,及用语When is it? It is_______ .对话。学生对日期表达上可能会有一些困难,通过本课的学习力求达到学生可以积极地完成练习和回答问题。

三、教学目标 知识目标: 1.

掌握新词汇International Workers’Day ,Children’Day ,Teachers’Day,October’s Day, October the first. 2.

句型：January the first is New Years’Day . It is in January or February . International Workers’Day is May the first. This is Children’s Day. It is June the first. Teachers’Day is September the tenth. When is National Day? October the first. When is your birthday ? My birthday is May 20. 能力目标：了解怎样用英语表示新年、春节、国际劳动节、教师节、儿童节、国庆节等节日。

情感目标: 在学习的过程中培养学生对英语的兴趣和学习英语的好奇心,并在学习的过程中训练学生的听力技巧,同时让学生在自己的日常生活中尽量模仿和使用英语。

文化意识目标: 了解中国的文化习俗，激发学生的民族自豪感。

四、重点、难点 1.学生能识别、理解和运用以下句式结构:
