一、教材解读简析

本课内容选自PEP教材五年级上复习单元Recycle的故事。本课内容主要是通过学习经典故事A Dark Dark House ，复习There be句型的用法。学生们通过对故事的诵读、创编，能巩固There be 句型的用法并能熟练使用。 二、教学目标与重难点 （一）教学目标

1、知识目标： （1）学生能听懂、理解文中的故事内容。 （2）学生能进一步加深对There be句型的理解与实际运用。 （3）学生能听懂理解并创编故事。

2.能力目标： （1）学生能发展阅读并寻找关键信息的能力；

（2）学生能发展思维、合作和交流的能力。

3.情感目标：

激发学生英语学习的兴趣，同时培养学生积极参与、乐于合作、大方交流的情感态度。

（二）教学重难点

（1）学生能进一步加深对There be句型的理解与实际运用。

学生能理解故事，并灵活运用There be句型创编故事。

四、教学过程

I．Warming-up

 Activity 1. Enjoy a song Sing a song: The Dark House T: Listen and answer: What’s in the box?

Ss listen to the song and answer the question. Activity 2. Listen and Show. （Pre-reading）

T: Today we will enjoy a story. It’s a dark story.

In the story, there is a dark dark wood. Ss learn the words: dark\wood T shows the sentence: There is a ….

There are some….

Ss listen and show their facial expression. Eg: T: In the dark dark wood, there is a big big monster. Ss: Ahh….

Ss imagine and talk about it in pairs. II．Presentation and Practise

Activity 1. Read quickly and answer: （while-reading）

T: In the story, what’s in the dark dark wood?

Ss read quickly and answer the question. In the dark dark wood, there is a dark dark house. Activity 2. Listen, watch and answer:

What’s in the dark house? Let’s watch and answer.

Ss listen to the tape and read the pictures S1: There is a ….

Ss learn the words: cupboard / hallway /stairs Activity3. Read and match Ss read the pictures again and match with the sentences.

Activity 4. Read and number Ss read the story and number the words.

Read aloud and retell the story

Activity 1. Read and draw different faces （after reading）

1. Talk about the ending of the story. T talks about the ending of the story. Ss learn the different endings: happy ending / bad ending/ horrible ending 2. Read and draw T shows different endings. Ss read and draw.

Activity 2. Make a stroy （after reading）

1. Make your own story. 1) T shows the tips of making a story.
