Check the student’s words remembering (

the words about the pets and new words in this part) Using the coputers Step2 Presention

Show a video about a parrot (The parrot can speak and even can speak English)

Ask : Do you like this parrot ? Why?What animal do you like best?

Step 3 Pair work : Work in pairs and make up a dialogue like the example

Ask three pairs to act out the dialogue(Random extraction) Step 4 Brief introduction : Can you tell something about your favourite pet to your parter?(Using 3-5 sentences according to the

pair-work)

Ask some students to introduce their pets.

We have talked a lot about our own

favourite pets. What about Amy?

What is Amy’s favourite pet?

Step5 Amy’s favourite pet ---- A cat ( Ask a student to answer it as quickly as he can to check their preview)

Show two questions:1 What is its name?(Poppy)

2 How old is she? (3 years old)

Step 6 Read aloud with the three questions:(Get the students to read the three questions and ask if they understand them) 1What is AMY like? 2What does it like? 3 How does Amy look after it? Step 7 Read and learn: 1 Read the article again and try to fill the blanks.(Three groups read the article individually and decide which group do better)
