本单元的中心话题是“克隆”,其中Reading 1 是一篇阅读文章，具体介绍了动物克隆和植物克隆的区别，多莉羊的诞生与死亡以及由此引发的争论；Reading 2 提供了一篇有关恐龙回归的材料，讲述了人类一直想要克隆已经绝种的动物，并提出了克隆所需要具备的条件。本课是属于语言运用的第二部分，听力部分是一段关于克隆是否对动物残忍的对话，学生听完后展开交流讨论，发表自己的观点，尤其突出正反对立观点的表述以及理由分析。鉴于本校学生的实际情况，对教材内容进行了部分调整，让学生先讨论再听，降低听力难度；同时增加了人类是否应该被克隆的话题，让学生模仿听力部分的对话模式；另外将workbook中的writing部分整合到了一起，兼顾到听说读写的训练。

二、学情分析

本校属于农村高中，学生英语基础薄弱，只有极少数学生能用英语清楚的表达自己的观点，多数学生词汇量小，无法开口，在单词读音的准确性和常用口语表达方面的能力都比较欠缺。整体上来看，学生们学习热情还是很高，刻苦努力，能够获取一些基本文本信息，在通过对前一部分内容的学习中已经积累了一些关于克隆的知识，所以还是能够简单表达自己的想法。

三、教法学法分析

1.教法：以新课标理论为指导，根据农村中学学生的实际，基于本课题的特点，通过多媒体课件，先让学生对克隆以及听力内容有一个比较全面的认识，再以教师为主导，学生为主体进行启发式教学，让学生通过模仿听力对话的形式进行小组合作讨论，集合大家的智慧，展现小组的风采。本节课为听说课的课型，考虑到学生知识积累欠缺，教师准备了大量的useful expressions提供给学生，让他们去模仿运用。

2.学法:

根据学生的实际情况，让学生听、想、练与讨论结合，从获取信息到提炼信息到转化信息最后形成学生自己的观点。在学到基本技能的同时让学生有时间有机会对所学技能进行及时巩固和演练，树立英语学习的自信，勇敢的用英语表达自己的观点。

四、教学目标

在本课学习结束时，学生能够：

通过听录音获取相关信息，掌握听力训练的做题步骤，准确把握听力问题的关键点，从而提高答题的正确率；

2.

基于所听文本和视频材料，用简洁的语言阐述自己对克隆的观点并给出充分的理由，掌握部分表达不同观点的常用句型；

3.

通过作文模板明了对于有争议性话题讨论的报告的写作流程和段落布局； 4.

养成批判性的思维习惯，明白任何事情都是具有两面性的，培养自己的思辨能力。

五、重点难点分析
