本模块的教学内容是描述过去到现在生活的变化。

第一单元的课文情境是Amy叫Lingling一起来看一个关于中国的电视节目，在节目中一位中国老奶奶在接受采访。她谈到过去和现在生活的不同：人们过去住的房子很小，食物不够，公共汽车很少，而且也没有电视；现在人们住进了大房子，食物很丰富，公共汽车和小汽车很多，老奶奶每天都可以看电视。节目结束后，Amy感叹中国正在发生着很大的变化，Lingling则非常想念中国，想念自己的奶奶。

第二单元的课文情境是Lingling写给Daming的一封信。Lingling 告诉Daming她昨晚看了一个介绍中国的电视节目。节目里，一位老奶奶讲述了过去的生活：过去她在田间劳作，生活作风，没有电视、收音机和电话，也不会读书写字。Lingling在心中说，她很想念奶奶，也很想念Daming.

学情分析

五年级的学生整体素质很好，思维活跃，具有创新意识。经过两年半的学习，很多同学对英语有着浓厚的兴趣，英语素养很高，具有较强的听说读写能力，同时也掌握了一定的英语学习方法，为本节课的学习打下了良好的基础。

本模块教学内容形象生动，运用句型对过去和现在的生活变化进行对比，学生学习积极性高。There be在五年级上册重点学习过，学生有较强的理解力和表达力，为There be的过去否定式的学习打下基础。个别单词television过于难记忆，学困生更加费劲，需要教师多激发他们的学习积极性。

本课主要讲述了Amy和Lingling在一起看一个关于中国的电视节目。荧幕中一位记者正在采访一位老夫人，这位老夫人回忆了中国许多年前的生活与现在生活的不同，中国发生了巨大的变化，

作为一名中国人感到非常自豪，并且勾起了玲玲的思乡之情。

本节课主要的语法是一般过去时态的用法，主要运用的句型是：There were/ weren’t ……

many years ago.描述过去。

There are ……

now. 描述现在。以及We lived in a small house many years ago. Now we live in a big house. We didn’t have enough food. Now we have got lots of food. 通过以上的比较，很直观形象的将中国的过去与现在进行了对比，突出了中国的巨大变化。
