(show a picture of Doraemon) Boys and girls, look at the picture, who is he? I think he is very interesting. What about you? What do you think of him?

Yes, we can use some adjectives to talk about him. We can say he is lovely, funny, wonderful, cool and great. And he can do many amazing things. (teach: amazing)

He comes from the future. Look, this is the Earth in 2514. (teach: the Earth) Is it beautiful?

So Doraemon comes back to 2014 to find the beautiful Earth.

There are many fun facts on the Earth. Let’s find them together. 1.

People sleep with their eyes closed. Fish sleep with their eyes open. 2. The Sun is about 1,300,000 times larger than the Earth.

3. Our eyes are the same size from birth, but our nose and ears never stop growing. 4. There are no bones in the back of elephants’ feet --- only fat. Ask students to read the new words.

Ask students to match the four pictures with the sentences.

Ask students to read the sentences for one minute and fill in the blanks to finish the four sentences.

Doraemon wants to tell you more amazing things, but you have to play a guessing game first. 1. There are only 7 bones in a giraffe’s long neck.

Let’s listen to their dialogue and find out which pictures they are talking about. Open your books and read the dialogues by yourselves. Ask students to read the dialogue in roles.

Boys and girls, it’s time for you to make a new dialogue. Before that I’d like one student to make a dialogue with me.

Eddie and Hobo also see something amazing. Let’s see what they saw. Watch the video and answer the two questions: 1.

What did Eddie see? 2.

What did Hobo see? Ask students to read after the tape and then read in roles. Answer one more question: Why doesn’t Eddie think it is a plane?

Now let’s work in pairs 1. Practice the dialogue.

There are so many amazing things on the Earth. And we’ve learned some of them. If you want to learn more, what can you do? Work in groups of 4, and talk about the ways to find more amazing things. (Show some beautiful pictures.) Boys and girls, look at the pictures. Are they beautiful? There are so many beautiful and amazing things on the Earth, but some people are doing something bad to the Earth. Do you want our Earth to be like this one? So we should protect our home --- the Earth. 1.

Look for more amazing things and share them with friends. 2.
