Teaching procedures: Step1: Lead-in 1.Watch a video clip about Superman and ask” What can Superman do?””What is Superman able to do? 2.Teacher introduces the learning aim of this class.

Step 2: Presentation of Comic strips 1.Listen and answer: What does Eddie think he can do? Is he able to fly? 2.Read after the tape sentence by sentence and answer: What did Hobo say when he saw Eddie jumping down from a chair? 3.Pair work: act out 4.Further thinking:Why does Eddie want to be a Superdog? What can a Superdog do?

Step 3: Presentation of welcome of the unit 1.Introduce members of the Helping Hands Club. 2.Present pictures and talk about what they do

3.Match the pictures below with the descriptions and guide the whole class to read to consolidate their good behaviors. 4.Categorize what the members do: the members help with the people in need and the environment 5.Listen and answer: What can they do for the children in poor areas? Students need to write down the key words.
