Teaching methods: Task-based language teaching Teaching procedures: Self-study 1.Watch a video about outdoor activities and answer the following question: Where do they do these sports, indoor or outdoor? 【设计意图】通过观看视频导入本课时的话题：户外活动,视频生动、形象，这样既能导入话题，又能将学生的注意力迅速吸引到本课时话题上来。

2.Have Ss look at some pictures and lead in the following new words：camping, cycling, jogging, riding, skating, swimming 3. Lead Ss to finish the PartA on page69. 【设计意图】通过图片呈现本课时的有关户外活动的新生单词，并通过完成PartA来检测学生掌握情况，为下面讨论户外活动做准备。

4.After learning the new words about outdoor activities, guide Ss to learn the comic strip by asking : Do you remember our old friend’s, Eddie and Hobo? Do you want to know what outdoor activity they are doing today? Then have Ss listen to the comic strip first and try to answer the following Qs:（1）How does Eddie feel? （2）Why can’t Eddie hurry up?

5. Then lead Ss to read the dialogue and answer the Qs: （1）What does Hobo think of the bag? （2）What does Hobo think of Eddie? 【设计意图】通过听和读的方式让学生理解漫画内容，既训练了学生的听、读能力，也为下面第7步的漫画表演做好准备工作。

6. Guide Ss to think the following Q: What should we take or shouldn’t take when we do outdoor activities?

And why? 【设计意图】通过让学生思考这个问题，发挥学生的语言思维能力，也锻炼学生的实际生活能力，同时为下面的“教师解难”环节做好准备。

7. Give Ss 2mims to read in roles and then act the dialogue out. 【设计意图】通过表演对话这样的语言活动，锻炼学生的语言运用能力，增加语言活动的效果。

8. Lead Ss to have a free talk with the T : A: What outdoor activity would you like to try? B:

I want to go ……

A: Why do you like it ?\What do you like about it? B: Because……

【设计意图】此环节是师生对话环节，紧紧围绕本课时话题“户外活动”进行对话，既增加了师生的语言交流，也为衔接下一步做好铺垫。

9. Have Ss listen to Part B and then answer the Qs: （1）What outdoor activity would Amy like to try? （2）What about Daniel? 10. Guide Ss to read the dialogue and finish the following form: Name Amy Daniel Likes

11.Lead Ss to look at some pictures and learn more outdoor activities and have Ss try to answer : Who do you often play with……? Is ……(season\weather) good for ……? 【设计意图】通过图片展示给学生补充户外活动的其他单词，既丰富了学生户外活动的单词量，跳出文本，又为下一步学生小组对话提供了更多活动的选择，为下面小组合作做了充分的准备。
