We’re going on a bear hunt Analysis of the text It’s an very interesting picture book.The content of this lesson is a travel of bear hunt. And there’s large amount of information contained in this picture book. The language is easy to understand but some onomatopoeias are hard to remember. Analysis of students:

The students already had a certain amount of language accumulation and they are capable of doing some retelling and performance under the guidance of pictures. However, there are indeed some difficulties for the kids to understand such an article especially when they just learned reading not long ago. On the other hand, kids like to adventure very much. Guide the students enjoy the story and deal with the hard situation comes more important. Teaching Aims: The teacher aims to help students to understand the whole story through some teaching activities such as listening, watching, reading, speaking and performing and also hopes to cultivate some reading skills and techniques after this lesson. Teaching aids: Picture books, PPT , long grass, mud

Teaching Procedures:

Warm-up Have a talk about travel and weather with students. Pre-reading Have students look at the screen. Encourage them to tell me what they can see in the picture. Encourage students to go bear hunt together. While-reading

Read the story together and try to do the actions to experience the hard time of travel.

Post-reading

Have students read the whole story again and make the map of travel of bear hunt in groups. Then performance one part they like the best.

Extension

Encourage students to think about the bear. Where is the bear? What’ s the feeling of the bear? If you are the bear, what will you do?
