一、教材分析：

1. 本单元围绕“行路安全”这一话题，呈现了若干行路规则和安全知识，旨在引导学生树立正确过马路的安全意识。这一话题与学生的生活密切相关，教师在教学过程中可以联系生活实际，鼓励学生认识更多的交通标识，掌握安全知识，做遵守交通规则的社会公民。

2. 本单元的目标语法是情态动词must 和其否定形式mustn’t的用法，另外，本单元还再现了情态动词can和否定形式can’t的用法。教师可以结合五年级下册Unit 4(Seeing the doctor)中的should以及六年级上册Unit 5 ,Unit 6,Unit 7的相关句型，综合操练情态动词，帮助学生更好地区分它们的词义和用法。关于规则和规定的表达法，教师可以和学生在复习三年级下册Unit 2(Inn the library)中祈使句句型Don’t…

3. 教师可以在课前收集一些遵守交通规则和违反交通规则的图片或视频，在课上与学生分享讨论，让学生从中意识到不遵守交通规则带来的严重后果，适时的引导学生树立安全行路的意识。

二、课时目标: 1. 能正确的听、说、读单词：

2. 初步感知运用日常交际用语You must \mustn’t… 并与You can\ can’t… You should/ shouldn’t ….有个区别。

3. 初步掌握文中出现的交通规则：You must first look for a zebra crossing and then look at the traffic lights. We must first look left, then right and then look left again. We mustn’t run and play on the road. etc

4. 能够通过绘本，理解掌握课文内容，用正确的语音语调朗读课文并能讲述表演绘本故事。

三、教学重难点：

1. 能正确的听、说、读单词：

2. 正确运用日常交际用语You must \mustn’t… you can\ can’t…并与You can\ can’t…

You should/ shouldn’t ….有个区别。

3. 能够通过绘本，理解掌握课文内容，用正确的语音语调朗读课文并能讲述表演绘本故事。

4. 通过本课时的学习，让学生能够理解一些常见的交通规则，并能用英语进行表达及其描述。

四、教学环节：

Step1. Warm up & Lead in 1．About me: hobby, how do I go to school, …etc 2. Free-talk

T: So how do you come to school?

Ss: I come to school by bus\ car\ bike\ on foot. etc. T: I see. You use different traffic tools to come to school. I think road safety is the most important for us. (Learn the topic: Road safety ) S: Yes.

T: Look at the picture. You can see the road in both of them. But which picture do you like more?

3. Lead-in T: I like this picture, too. Today we are going to learn a story about it. Remember the pictures can help you understand the story. So let’s look at this picture. What is the name of the story? Who is this story about? Why is he called Banana Tiger? What can you see on the road? S: I can see ….(复习旧知，顺便检查预习情况)

Step2. Presentation

A: Read the first part of the story 1.

Begin the story: Banana Tiger’s aunt works in a circus. One day, she called Banana Tiger to visit her in the city. He is very happy!

T: So he will go to the city. What will happen? What will he see?

S: …. 2.

Mum Tiger: I have to work. You can go without me.

T: His mother is not going. If you are his mother, what will you say to him? S: ….(这里学生应该会讲到小心和注意哪些交通安全之类的。) There are many busy roads in the city. You should be careful. (His mother wants him to be safe.)

T: So, how can he cross the road safely? S: …. (引导学生说出生活经验，顺便检查预习情况) T: Let’s look at the picture and tell me what does his mother do first? She takes out a red vest and says:” Put the red vest on and people will see you easily.”

T: Then, Mum tiger tells him some traffic rules. Do you know what “traffic rules” is? Don’t forget the pictures can help you understand the story. S: …. First, you must look out for a zebra crossing. Then, you must look at the traffic lights and wait for the green man.

Show the pictures and learn the new words: zebra crossing, green man, red man, traffic lights B: Self-reading (the second part of the story)

Learn the words the groups, help each other to learn the words. Have a chant: Traffic lights, red, yellow, green.

Red light, red light, stop, stop, stop.

Yellow light, yellow light, wait ,wait, wait.

Green light, green light, go, go ,go.
