一、教学目标

1.知识目标：能听、说、认读新单词：mouse，funny，small，strong

2.能力目标：会用所学句型及形容词对动物进行描述：Look at this/that......It’s......

3.情感目标：培养学生爱护动物，保护大自然的意识。

二、教学重、难点

1. 认读Part B 部分单词a strong tiger 、a funny monkey、a beautiful bird、a small mouse、a big elephant.

2. 在情境中能够用Look at this/that …It’s…恰当的描述动物。

3. 区分this和that的读音及正确用法。

三、教学准备

Animal cards，Word cards，Listening materials, CAI 四、教学过程

Step 1 热身/复习导入（Warm up/Revision）

1. Greetings.

2. Sing a song: Hello! How are you?

3. Lead-in(Revision): 利用多媒体课件快速向学生出示各种动物图片，学生猜测并说出其名称。What’s this？It’s a monkey/tiger...引导出今天要学习的新课“Look at this elephant.”，设计参观动物园的情境，并板书课题在黑板上。

4. 出示学习目标，进入新课的学习。

Step 2 学生自主学习（Self-study）

1. 听课文录音，小声跟读，圈出新单词。

2. 自学课文，完成练习册预习尝试Ⅰ题（连一连）。

3. 根据提示，组内交流，尝试拼读新单词。

Step 3 新课呈现（Presentation and drill）

1. 教师出示动物图片，在句子中学习新单词。（Ask and answer）

What’s this?

It’s an elephant.

Look at this elephant.

It’s big.

It’s a big elephant.

教师出示其他动物图片，和学生进行问与答。

What’s this/that?

It’s a mouse/monkey/tiger/bird. Look at this/that mouse/monkey/tiger/bird.

It’s small/funny/strong/beautiful .

It’s a small mouse/funny monkey/strong tiger/beautiful bird.

利用已学单词mouth拼读出mouse读音，利用sunny学习funny读音，出示两张单词卡片快速说出单词。利用音标拼读出small和strong，动作带读。

2. 学生在组内练习读新单词、短语（Part B），再展示。

Step 4 Practice

1.

Listen and count.(听课文录音，数一数)How many animals are there? 请学生将书本关上，听课文录音回答。

Listen and repeat.(Part A) 听课文录音，跟读课文，全班齐读课文，分角色朗读。

3.

Group work. 组内练习读课文，小组合作创编对话。

4.

Show time. 小组展示对话。

Step 5 Consolidation
