Lesson 13 How old are you? 一、学情分析

四年级的学生年龄在九至十岁，生性活泼好动，喜欢直观形象思维，对探究、合作的活动特别感兴趣。学生有一定的英语基础，但有可能说的不够好，有的还不太敢说，课堂上以表扬为主，注重培养学习英语的兴趣，鼓励他们大胆说，积极做，努力唱。

二、单元及课文分析

本单元学生将学习如何讨论年龄，身高，家庭住址及如何上学等日常事情。学生还能够讨论在他们的世界里如何表达他们喜欢的事物。本课重点学习How old are you? When is your birthday? 这两个句型，它们和学生的生活息息相关。

三、教学目标

运用所学知识获得有关年龄的信息。

1. Greetings What day is it? How are you? How’s the weather today? 2. Let’s sing a song.

Students sing the song “Months of the year”. 3. Let’s review .

Show the picture.

Q: How many apples are there ? 4. Let’s write.

Ask the students to write the numbers. They can discuss in groups. And then fill in the blanks. 5. What’s the date?

Show some pictures of March，February and April. To ask the students to look at the canlendar and answer the questions. 6. Ask and answer. (Show the pictures of Tom and Jerry.)
