1. 学生能够识别申请信的结构并归纳写作内容；
2. 学生能够独立完成一封申请信的写作
教学过程：
Step 1: leading in Show some examples, let ss find good words and sentence patterns in these compositions.
Think it over : why the compositions aren’t be able to get good marks. Step 2: presentation and explanation 1.
Show writing introductions 2.
Analyze the materials and find key information 3.
Give two theme sentences: Why do you want to study abroad? Introduce yourself to others about what qualities make you suitable for the program. 4.
Present how to organize the whole paragraph:
By developing step by step
By listing the fact paralleling to each other Step 3: analyze examples to find something good in these composition and their shortcomings. Step 4 : sum up what have been learned Step 5: Polish your own composition in group accordingly Step 6: show a good one to all the students Step 7: Assignment
