The students in our school are lack of a positive and active environment of learning English. 2.

Some of them are not interested in Learning English because of lacking aims. 3.

Although some students learn hard , they don’t do well in it for unsuitable methods. Ⅱ

Analysis of the teaching material（教学内容分析）: The topic of unit 2 is cloning. In this lesson, we will learn a passage about the return of dinosaurs by means of reading, discussing and writing. Ⅲ

Teaching aims（教学目标）: 1.Knowledge aim: Students can master the new words and some structures in this part: initial, merely,drawback,bright back to life, from time to time, in vain, strait in one’s heart... 2.Ability aim: Students can use the knowledge they learned to describe their ideas. 3.Emotional aim:Students can form a object attitude towards cloning. Ⅳ

Teaching keys and difficulties（教学重难点）: The new words and some structures are necessary for students to

master. And it is also hard for them to use the knowledge correctly. Ⅴ

Teaching procedures（教学过程）: Step1:Lead-in Show the whole class a short video of Jurassic Park and ask them to describe it. After that, show them a question and discuss with their partners.(Do you think it is possible for us to clone dinosaurs?)Give them 3 minutes and invite some of them to share their idea. Step2: Pre -reading Ask them to look at the picture and the title,then try to guess the main idea of this passage. Step3:While-reading 1.Task 1 Ask them to listen to the tape carefully and answer the following question . Does the author think it is possible to clone the dinosaurs?

2.Task2 Go through the passage quickly and find out the main idea of

each paragraph.

Teaching reflection（教学反思）: Because students have learned some knowledge about cloning in reading1, I design some tasks in using language in order to help them strengthen the knowledge they learned and also master the new knowledge better. But I failed to guide them to understand the passage better by those tasks. So, after class ,I have to think of my design again and try my best to help them learn it easier.
