2. Master the steps of writing: Analysis— Organization —Polish. 3. Strengthen the Ss’ writing by means of proof reading. Teaching methods: 1. Discussions 2. Cooperative learning. 3. Task–based teaching approach. Teaching aids: 1. Blackboard

2. Multi-media assistant teaching system Teaching procedures: Step1 Lead – in 1. Show three writing materials of CCE. 2. Summarize the formulaic language of the beginning and ending parts by

comparison. Step2 Presentation 1. Divide students into groups to discuss the body part. 2. Ask them to write down their points. 3. Let three students to write theirs on the Bb. 4. Correct the mistakes of students’ sentences.

Step3 Consolidation 2. Ask students to find the ten mistakes of a composition and correct them. 3. Ask them to summarize the typical mistakes in proof-reading.

Step4 Improvement Get Ss to summarize how to get higher marks in writing. Step5 Conclusion

Conclude what they have learned in this class. Step6: Homework Finish a letter to introduce the Spring Festival by using the strategies learnt today.
