2.

Guggenheim Museum;

Guggenheim Museum is not just a museum, but a group of museums founded in 1937. Guggenheim Museum was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the most creative architects in the United States. The Guggenheim Art Museum is located in the art area on the edge of the old urban area and the South Bank of Nevillon. It is the most striking first-tier waterfront landscape.Among the museum's collections are impressionist, post-impressionist, surrealist and expressionist works. Among them, Impressionist and post-Impressionist works mainly come from the donation of Thannhauser. Of all the Tibetan paintings, Picasso's early work -The Ironing Woman

is the most impressive. It is dark and gloomy. The head of the woman in the painting seems to have been overwhelmed by the oppression of life.

3.

Metropolitan Museum of Art;

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is the largest art museum in the United States and is also a world famous museum. Located in 82 Avenue, Fifth Avenue, New York, USA. Covering an area of 130,000 square meters, the museum is one of the four largest museums in the world, with the British Museum in London, the Louvre in Paris, France, and the Elmitash Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia.It has five exhibition halls, including European painting, American painting, primitive art, medieval painting and Egyptian antique exhibition hall. Behind the hustle and bustle, one of the world's most outstanding museums struggles with uncertainty about resources and the brink of excess funding. The Metropolitan Museum's fiscal deficit is already close to $40 million, which has also forced it to cut about 90 jobs.

4.

Museum of Modern Art;

Museum of Modern Art is one of the most important modern and contemporary art museums in the world today.

It was built in the summer of 1929, initially to show paintings, but later the scope of exhibitions gradually expanded, including sculpture, printmaking, photography, printed matter, commercial design, film, architecture, furniture and installation art.

We can enjoy the abstract and beautiful paintings in here. Some strange but interesting sculptures are also shown in the display.

5.

Whitney Museum of American Art

Whitney Museum of American Art, the name of the Whitney Museum of American Art, was set up in 1931 by the Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney. At first, Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney wanted to donate her collection to the Metropolitan Museum of art. Who expected it to be rejected and was told

that

contemporary American art has no collection value. In a fit of pique, she opened her own museum, which aroused public interest in contemporary American art.

Step 3:Speaking and Writing How to introduce a tourist attraction Directions: Please read a short passage to describe Shaanxi History Museum. Shaanxi History Museum is located in the northwest of the Xi’an. It was built in 1983 and was open on June 20, 1991. Shaanxi History Museum is China’s first large-scale modern national museum. The Museum has the style of Tang dynasty buildings of central palace hall with 370,000 collection of cultural relics, dating from the simple stone that human used at the initial stage in ancient times down to all kinds implements in social life before 1840. As one of the first confirmed China “4 A”

class tourist attractions, Shaanxi History Museum, with its superior display, beautiful environment, high quality service, good order and unique charm, attracted numerous Chinese and foreign guests to visit it. Don't miss it. Discussion: Analyze the structure of the passage. The Beginning: Brief Introduction (location; importance) The Body: Collection The Ending: Persuade to visit Summary and Homework:

Visit Weinan Museum to explore the treasure of local culture and write a short introduction of it according to the structure mention before. Blackboard Design: Museum in Manhattan The Beginning: Brief Introduction (location; importance) The Body: Collection The Ending: Persuade to visit

Teaching Reflection:

1. 课前的充分准备永远不嫌多,如果要告诉学生百分之八十的东西,那么准备百分之二百可能都不够;

2. 公开课这类课型的特殊之处决定了许多地方与常态课的不同,授课班级的选择,学生平时的配合度如何,课型的难易程度等都是必须要考虑的问题;

3. 充分利用资源,线上线下,一切可以为教学服务的资料都可以借鉴,个人觉得在讲公开课之前最好看一些获奖课的课堂实录,逐字逐句写下来,研究这些获奖课的优点;
