Textbook analysis Welcome to the unit板块先通过连环漫画导入“寻找道路”这个话题，然后让学生通过阅读理解指示位置的语句和词汇，最后达到可以运用这些词汇、语句口头进行语言交流的目的。这一板块要求学生能熟练运用句型“There’ a path between the hills. Do you know the way?”等，同时学会“Where are we going…It’s north of the school…How will we get there?”等句式，让学生通过相互的操练巩固得到的知识。

Student analysis 七年级的学生都还比较稚嫩、好动，注意力集中的时间还比较短，好奇心比较大，因此教学内容必须根据他们自身的特点，采用方法新颖、形式多样化的教学方式，吸引学生的注意力，提高学生接受知识的效率。

Design philosophy 针对本课时为这一单元的导入课的课型特点，我们在设计学习内容的导入和课堂活动上应该采用一些直观的、易激发学生学习兴趣和活动参与积极性的方式。用图片向学生介绍一些建筑物的名称和它们所在的方位：a park , a zoo, a school, a bus stop , hotel等。然后，让学生根据自己学校所在的位置，谈论学校周围的建筑物的相对位置。在此基础上，学习B部分的对话，进行适当的pair work 操练后，再让学生进行角色表演。

教学反思：

作为本单元内容教学的第一课时，教师利用视频导入新课，自然地导入本单元主题，并呈现单词，吸引学生注意力的同时又增加了学生的好奇心。利用各种手段、方式激励学生敢说英语、爱说英语，一切以学生的学习兴趣为出发点。例

如：把所学单词用情景展示出来；鼓励学生大声朗读对话，我及时用语言鼓励他们，给他们信心。学生编对话时，鼓励学生用不同的语句去表达，使新的英语知识学习充分与已有的水平相结合，提高学生的学习兴趣与效率。

与此同时，整个教学过程还存在着问题和不足。例如：1. 对于新旧知识的衔接没有充分考虑到。2. 整节课对时间的分配还没有做到很合理，给学生表演对话的时间不足。
