A very hungry caterpillar 绘本教案
内容:绘本《A very hungry caterpillar》
一、学习目标
1、Be able to read and enjoy the story.
2、Be able to predict according to the plot.
3、Be able to tell story in their own words.
4、Be able to think about “How can you become a butterfly?”
二、学习重难点
根据故事情节进行合理推断,并用自己的语言对故事进行复述。
三、学习过程
1、Warm--up
(1)Greetings;
(2)“What’s your favourite animal?Why?What’s your favourite insect?Why?”学生进行自由作答。
师:Today’s story is also about an insect,Look,PPT出示图片,it’s a caterpillar. 教读单词,并把caterpillar 贴于黑板上。
2、Presentation
(1)教师问:Do you like the caterpillar?Why or why not?生答。Maybe most of you do not like the caterpillar,after learning the story,you may change your mind! Before learning the story, let’s see the book cover first. (2)看封皮,获取信息,title and writer等。Some words are missing, can you put one word here to make it complete?(让学生填词,给题目)然后Listen and check 引出课题:The Very Hungry Caterpillar(板书)
(3)Why is the caterpillar hungry?Watch and answer,What would he do next? Eat?What would he eat?(生猜)what did the caterpillar exactly eat?Read and underline the answers,check the answers 并板书。
(4)After eating so many things,How did the caterpillar feel?(生猜),and What did he do?He ate one nice,green leaf,why not a yellow one?适时渗透a balanced diet的重要性。
(5)At first the caterpillar was tiny and hungry,now he is big and fat, and at last,he became a beautiful butterfly. How did the caterpillar become a butterfly?Read the last part of the story and try to draw it out . 生自读,画出过程,师总结:It’s a very beautiful story,now it’s time for us to enjoy the whole story together. Watch,Listen and Enjoy
(6)It’s such a long story ,and this is a brief one,now work in groups of 4 and try to finish it,you can refer to the board-designing. Check the answers.
(7)Can you tell the story in your own words?教师带着学生复述一遍,work in groups and try to tell the story.
(8)Show time 结束后,让学生给予相应评价。
(9)How many stages does a caterpillar become a butterfly?Four.They are egg, caterpillar, cocoon and butterfly. It takes a long process to become good and beautiful . How about you ?(生答)The caterpillar is just like hope,you are just like the caterpillar,you will grow up and unfold your wings and fly off into the future,Wish you all have a bright future.
(10)Homework:
1. Tell the story to others.
2. Think and write “How can you become a butterfly?”
3. Read other stories of Eric carle .
四、教学反思
本节课内容设置较多,时间有些不够用,再加上文本有些困难,不应该一个课时完成,即使一个课时完成,也需要学生课下做好预习工作。此外,课堂前半部分有些拖拉,导致后面的filling in the blanks and retell 就显得很仓促,有点虎头蛇尾的感觉,以后在这方面一定注意,把握时间,把大块时间用在重难点上。切记。
