Teaching Aims
(1)Knowledge aims: master the key word: welcome, postcard, cousin, on holiday, travel, came, pop, concert. And review the words: big, small, long, short. And master the new sentenceDid sb do sth in + place?And know how to answer the question.
(2)Ability aims: students can use sentence pattern to ask their friends and can read the article in the book clearly and fluently.
(3)Emotional aims: students’ interest can be aroused by join activ ities and foster the spirit of team cooperation and proper competition.
Teaching Key Points and Difficult Point
(1)Key Points: master the new words: welcome, postcard, cousin, on holiday, travel, came, pop, concert.. And master the sentence pattern:Did sb do sth in + place?Yes, I/he/she did. No, I/he/she didn’t.
(2)Difficult Points: students can use the new words in real situation. And they can use the sentence pattern to ask each other in real life.
Teaching Aids: PPT, pictures, recorder, cards
Teaching procedures:
Step1: Greeting
T: Class begins. Ss:Stand up. T:Good morning everyone! Ss: Good morning, teacher! T: How are you today? Ss: I’m fine, thank you! And you?T:I’m fine, too, thank you! Sit down please.
Step2: Warming up
1.Free talk
T: What did you do last weekend?
Where did you go last weekend?
Ss:...
2.Listen and chant.
(1)Teacher play the flash of part 1. and students watch the CD-ROM to find the new words and have a touch with Did you.......
Step3: Presentation
(1)Review:
Teacher show students some picture of different place to review some word of before. And review sentence pattern: Do you......to lead in new sentence pattern Did you.......
(2)T:Do you like the game “look and say”Show some pictures: Picture one: T:OK,look,where is it? Ss:it’s......T: Did you live in.....By this way to show some pictures and describe them.
(3)New teaching
①.Listen,point and find "Did he...?".
The teacher play the CD-ROM and the students find “Did he.....”
②Then the teacher show them a map of America to teach the new word San Francisco and Washington DC.
③And then teach other words by this way. And learn the sentence “Did he/you/she......” together.
④Do a game”pick up the apples” to learn sentence and words.
⑤Then studets listen to the CD-ROM and read with the CD-ROM. And then read afer me. Then read in their groups. Then students answer the questions as follows:
1. Does Dalong live in New York?
2. Did Dalong live in New York last year?
3.Did Dalong travel by plane?

He lives in ________________now.
He lived in________________la
st year.
Step4: Practice
Role play
(1)Role play the conversation in groups.
(2)Role play the conversatoion by boys and girls.
Draw and say
Try to draw their hometown or some beatiful place and then Did you......? to make conversation.
A: Did you live in Yi Bin?B:Yes, I did./No, I didn’t.
Step5: Conclusion
To talk about what they learned in this class. And then make an assessment for each group and the best group is the winner.
Step6: Homework
(1)Read the text to your parents
(2)Use “Did he/you/she.....Yes, I/he/she did. No, I/he/she didn’t.” to ask their friends.
