Teaching process

Step1: Warm-up

1.Enjoy the song of “good morning”, then sing and do it.

2.Greetings: Good morning. How are you? Nice to meet you. I have a crayon.

3.Let the Ss do some actions:

Show me green/red/blue/yellow

Black black stand up

Orange orange sit down.

White white touch the ground

Brown brown turn around.

Step2: Pre-reading

1.Teacher to S1: What’s your name? Good morning,…. How are you?

Nice to meet you.

2.Introduce Zoom and Zip to Ss: This is Zoom/Zip.

Then Zoom and Zip to S: What’s your name? Good morning,…. How are you? Nice to meet you.

3.Introduce lizard to Ss: This is my pet lizard.

Then lizard to S: What’s your name? Good morning,…. How are you?

Nice to meet you.

Teacher says: Look! I have a pet, lizard. It can change its colours, so I can’t find my lizard

And ask: Can you see the lizard? What colour is it? (lizard hides everywhere)

Ss answer it: It’s blue/orange/brown/white/black

Step3: While-reading

1.The lizard hides the flowers from PartC storytime.

Ask: What colour is the lizard? What colour is the flower?

Teach: flower The flower is white/red/blue. It ‘s a white/red/blue flower. At this time,Zoom comes to the garden. And say: Wow! Flowers.

Zip is coming and greeting to Zoom

2.Ask: watch the video,and answer the question: What did Zoom do?

3.Can we pick the flower? We shouldn’t pick the flower.

4.Listen and imitate it after the tape.

5.Try to fill in the blanks.

6.Read and practice the story in pairs.

7.Role-play and dub story after the video.

Step4: After-reading

1.Think it over and renew the story by themselves.

2.Talk about the story in groups.

3.Act out the new story in groups.

Step5: Homework

1.Listen and read after the tape three times.

2.Act out the story with your classmate.
