Ⅶ.Teaching reflection In this period, the teaching emphasis will be put on developing the students’ reading ability by enabling them to use some reading strategies such as skimming and scanning. In order to lead in the topic, the students look at some pictures. During reading, I ask the students to find out the main idea of each paragraph first. Then I ask them to locate particular information by careful reading.

Then I ask students to talk about the men’s and women’s tasks in primitive society. In my opinion, the lesson is good overall. The tasks are suitable for the students and they are more active than before. And the teaching process moves smoothly. At the same time, there are some points that need to be improved. For example, students

are not very active in the discussing part. In future, I must guide them practice their spoken English more.
