Having accumulated a certain amount of vocabulary, with basic proficiency in listening skills, senior two students in Class 8 should not be content with some direct and easy questions.Instead, they should have the ability to summarize messy information, make accurate guesses based on what they have already listened, understand the characters’ ideas

and express their own opinions in English about the topic. Listening and speaking are the difficult parts for students, so teacher should simplify the content and guide students.

Ⅱ.Teaching aim 1. knowledge objects：Get students to learn the useful new words and expressions in this part:

2.ability objects:1)get the details about the dialogue including Xiao Qing's and Rachel Brown’s

Ⅲ.analysis of the teaching material The selected material is taken from listening and speaking of unit2, Modules. It provides us with Xiao Qing’s and Rachel Brown’s ideas about whether cloning is cruel to animals or not.The aim of this part is to encourage student to express their personal opinions about animal cloning. Teaching important points:Students are able to get the basic information about the two characters' idea about animal cloning in the text.

Teaching Reflection

1.When preparing a lesson, we teachers should consider the students first. Listening and speaking parts are difficult for some students.So try to make all the students benefit from the lesson. Design various activities to involve all the students in and develop well. 2.team work, group work and pair work must be combined so as to lower the difficulty level of the task because two heads are better than one. Also, students’ team spirit can be shaped and more importantly, they learn to be cooperative , which is an essential quality for a successful social being.
