2 能询问某人住在何处“Where do you/they live?” “Where does he/she live?”及答语“He /She lives in …” “They /We /I live in /on …”等句型。

Teaching important and difficult:

1 单词earth, grassland, river 和

mountain 画线部分的发音。

2 灵活运用本课重要句型。

Teaching steps: Step 1: Reviewing 1.

Greetings 2.

Review some words about animals, country and places. Step 2: Presentation 1.

Show a picture of globe and teach the word earth. 2.

Show the other pictures of places and ask Ps to read the words they can read. 3.

Teach the new words pupils can’t read. Check every pupil can read the new words correctly. 4.

Ask pupils to read each word in pairs. Step 3: Play a game 1.

Let Ps have a look at the picture about animals living places. 2.

Find the home for the animals.

Fox example

Put the tiger in the house of forest and say “Tigers live in the forest.”

Ask several pairs to play the game. Step 4: Work in pairs 1.

Show a picture of Beijing and ask “Where do you live?”

Guide pupils to answer “I live in Beijing.”

Ask a pupil to act with me. 3.

Let pupils practise the dialogue in groups of six by using their cards of places.

Ask several groups to act in class. Step 5 Focus

Review the words about places and dialogue. Step 6: Homework

Practise the dialogue with your partners.
