1. 阅读指导：

询问物品的价格常用特殊疑问词how much来提问，根据主语的不同分两种类型的句式结构：

a)How much is＋可数名词单数/不可数名词？回答用It's…. b)How much are＋可数名词复数？回答用They are…. How much is the hat?

It’s five dollars. How much is this T-shirt?

It’s seven dollars. How much is that brown sweater?

It’s eight dollars. How much are these socks?

They’re two dollars. How much are those black trousers?

They’re nine dollars.

Step4 Presentation (3a to 3c) 3a Make sentences in the chart with the words in the three boxes Students finish first,then check the answers.

Pay attention to the sentence structure:

3b. Look at the pictures and write the questions and answers. Students write the sentences on the chart. The let some Students read their questions and answers.

3c Work with your partner. You look at the pictures in 3b for a minute and then close your books. Your partner asks you questions and you try to answer his/her questions.

Ss work in pairs. Ask and answer about things in the picture.
