Warm- up 1.

Greetings and introduction .

Hello, everybody.

I am Ms.Sang.

Today I am so happy .

Nice to see you.

Nice to meet you.

I hope you will be happy. 2.Review the verb and v-ing, then listen and do. Reading, reading, I am reading. Writing, writing, I am writing. Jumping, jumping, I am jumping. Running, running, I am running. Sleeping, sleeping, I am sleepping. Swimming, swimming, I am swimming. （运用朗朗上口的chant并加入节奏感极强的鼓点音乐，激发学生的兴趣，学生边说边做动作，让他们放松的同时，也为本节课的教学做好了铺垫。）

2、Look at these pictures,ask Ss :What are they doing?

Let Ss read these words and find out their differences:

sing-singing,draw-drawing,eat-eating;

dance-dancing,write-writing

swim-swimming,run-running. (运用图片让学生边回答问题边展示重点动词的-ing形式的变化，让学生通过读发现V-ing 形式的变化规则并且会运用，为本节课的教学打好基础。）

Presentation 1、Use the CAI to show three pictures.

T: Boys and girls!What’s he doing?Oh,he is playing football. What’s she doing?She is writing.And what’s she doing?You don’t know.Look！What are they? They are pictures.They are also photos.Teach photo-photos, take a photo.then let students answer what she is doing.Use pictures to teach: sheep ,fight.Then practice new vocabularies by reading and playing games. (创设真实情景，边学边用，有助于理解和记忆。) 2、Use the CAI to show a picture of the dog,but students can’t see what the dog is doing. （1）T:

Look at the dog!

What is the dog doing? You don’t know.I know.You can ask me :Is the dog running ?Is the dog ...?I tell them :Yes, it is./No, it isn’t.When students can’t guess what the dog is doing.I let them see.Students are excited.Use the same way to teach:Are the dogs ...? Yes, they are.Or No, they aren’t.

(句型我主要采用设置“信息差”，让学生通过猜狗在干什么的活动引出，因为不是直接问答，而是蒙着一部分让学生去猜

，学生学习兴趣很浓，又因为狗在唱歌这个结果很意外，学生能够得到充分的练习，在猜的过程中不知不觉就掌握住新句型，从而达到事半功倍的教学效果，也把课堂推向高潮。)

(5)Play a guessing game: Are the cats/ dogs/monkeys…? Yes,

they are./ No, they aren’t. They are…. （

“猜一猜“活动激发学生的好奇心，促使他们主动参与和思考，并在游戏当中轻松达到了操练并掌握重点句型的目的，活学活用，增加了趣味性。）

3.Pair work: A: Are the pandas/cats/monkeys/dogs…

? B: Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t. They are …. （通过Pair work操练重点句型，培养学生合作学习的同时，也达到了“学以致用”的目的。）

4.Let’s sing: Are the birds playing? Are the birds playing? Yes, they are. Are the cats sleeping? Are the cats sleeping? No, they aren’t. （用学生熟悉的曲调，有趣操练地重点句型，便于学生更好的掌握新句型.）

（在学生已经掌握句型的基础上呈现课文，学生容易进入语境，进一步理解巩固所学新知。）

Step 3 Extension 1. Summary: The island is very beautiful, the animals are so cute, so we shoud “Love Animals,Protect Environment.”

2. Love Animals, Protect Environment.

（再次呈现本节课主题情景进行总结，教育学生要“爱护动物，保护环境。”
