Material: 新版PEP小学英语三年级下册Unit4 Where is my car? Period: period 1 Duration: 40 minutes Teaching aims a) To learn the new words “in, on, under, desk, chair”.

b) To be able to use the sentence “Where is the...?” to ask and to be able to answer by using the sentence “It’s in/on/under the....”

Emotional objective: To let the students know it’s good to put the things in order. Key points:

a) To learn the new words “in, on, under, desk, chair”.

b) To learn to use the sentence “Where is the...?” to ask and to be able to answer by using the sentence “It’s in/on/under the...”

Difficult points: To be able to pronounce the words “under, desk, chair”.

Guessing game: What's this? ( desk and chair) Step 2 Presentation a) To present the new words “desk, chair, in, on, under,” by showing them pictures.

b) Use sentence “Where is the ball?” to guide students to think about the place of the ball. c) To let students read and blend. Step 3 Practice a) Let's chant. Where, where, where is my ruler? In, in, in the desk. Where, where, where is my ruler? On, on, on the box. Where, where, where is my ruler? Under, under, under the chair. b) Ask and answer -Where is the ruler? -It's in/ on/ under the desk/ chair. c) Let's do Require students to do the action according to the tape. d) Look and say Require students to fill in the blank according to the pictures.( in, on, under) e) Find and say Require students to fill in the blank according to the pictures.( in/ on/ under the desk/ chair) f) Practice in pairs Require students to chooe one picture to practice the conversation.
