Module 8 Unit 1 He lives in the east of the US. 本课是小学新标准英语一年级起点第八册第八模块第一单元，在本课的学习中，学生将要学习说明地理方位，并尝试从地图上正确判断并表述物体或者地点、地区的地理位置。本课的“东南西北”四个方位的英文表达方法是重之中重，对学生来说也是难点，初次涉及，需通过多个活动重点训练学生对此知识的活用。本课时重点是引导学生明确地理方位概念，帮助学生形成方位意识，同时来培养学生的跨文化意识。倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式和任务型的教学途径，发展学生的综合语言运用能力，使语言学习的过程成为学生积极思考、大胆实践、和形成自主学习能力的过程。

学情分析

通过之前学习的积累，全体学生都已初步了解一般现在时的基本结构和其功能，语言难度不大。在本课的学习中，学生将要学习说明地理方位的表达，并尝试从地图上正确判断并表述物体或者地点、地区的地理位置。本课的“东南西北”四个方位的英文表达方法是重之中重，对学生来说也是难点，初次涉及，需通过多个活动重点训练学生对此知识的活用。

设计思路

综合对教材和学情的分析，将本节课分为了预学检测、

课文学习、合作探究、巩固操练、拓展运用和达标测评六个阶段。在各环节中，引导学生掌握细节要点，并将所学的语言点迁移到生活中。以学生的学为主体，通过小组合作探究和教师的点拨，体验学习的乐趣。
